Celebrate Earth Month With These 5 Ways To Appreciate Our Planet
Help your students understand their impact with these five ways during Earth Month! ~ Brought to you by: Take Care With Peanuts

Empower your students to learn about the earth not only on Earth Day but during the whole month of April! Celebrate with the following ideas for activities, lessons, and projects.
Pick up trash around your school
Trash clean-ups are another hands-on activity you don’t even have to leave the school grounds to do. To make a bigger impact, have students write down what kinds of trash they pick up and where. After analyzing the data together, you can find patterns and explore solutions so you can stop the trash at the source.
Make signs for school and at home
Sometimes we just need a little reminder to help us change our habits. Have your students think about what they can do at school and at home to help the environment and how they can encourage others to change their habits.
Showcase Students Making A Difference
It’s important for students to see examples of others around the world, locally, or in their classroom making a difference! Have them share a picture or note on ways they can make a change to protect the environment.
*Use our ‘How You Can Take Care of The Earth’ activity sheet to showcase different ways your students can take care of the earth. Be sure to tag @GoNoodle on Twitter with their drawings!
Learn How Plants Grow
Plant seeds indoors and take a close look at just how plants work, and what they need to grow. Bonus, transfer these to an outdoor garden to cultivate all summer long!
- Inspire them with our video by Take Care with Peanuts: Get Up and Grow! Join Lucy as she puts Snoopy, Linus, and Woodstock to work in the garden.
Integrate art projects
Creating art can help students feel connected to environmental topics, explore animals, and create a fun way to integrate a hands-on activity to a lesson about Earth Day! Help them explore and imagine the world they live in with the following activities:
- How Can You Take Care of the Earth?: Fill in a word web with ways you can take care of Earth.
- The Water Cycle: Draw It Out: Draw pictures for each phase of the water cycle.
- Whose Got A Backbone: Explore different animals and insects while learning who has a vertebrae and invertebrates.
