Flo Yo gets to know herself better by considering her skills, feelings, and hobbies.
[MUSIC PLAYING] Greetings, my super noodle friends. Gather around as I paint a scenic picture for you. We're about to explore new things. Join one another in discovering, playing, growing, and having a lot of fun together. You're about to enter the Champa verse and go through the fitness forest to begin today's super noodle adventure. Now let's check in with our hero champ and see where this adventure takes us. Today, we're going to be standing up straight with Flo Yo in selfie shorts while flashing the biggest smiles with confidence. Hey, hey, hey, super noodle friends. It's me, Flo Yo. So we can flow in the know, yo. Some of my friends who I swim around with in my school of fish tell me I'm confident since I'm always taking selfies with my cell phone, I'm good at sports, and I hold my head up high way above my fins. So who better to talk to you about confidence than me? Confidence means feeling sure of yourself and your abilities. Not in an arrogant way, but in a realistic, secure kind of way. Confidence isn't about feeling superior to others. It's more about a quiet inner knowledge. So today, I want to have a group chat with you about being able to stand up for yourself and make a confident choice. Not too long ago, Sally, a fish I often swim along with, said something hurtful to me. She thought she knew everything about me and joked that I only take selfies and post them on Instaclam. Ouch. I wanted her to know I am so much more than that, but I didn't really know her very well. She had made other comments about how I'm only an athlete. I knew we were just making small talk, but her comments caught me off guard and hurt my feelings. She was judging my book by its cover. Saying fact. The saying, never judge a book by its covers or don't judge a book by its cover, means that you shouldn't judge someone or something based only on what you see on the outside. There is always more to the story than that. I wanted Sally to know that I'm so much more than my selfies or the sports I play. For example, I love literature. I absolutely love to not only read literature, but I also love to write stories and poems too. So here we go. I am Flo Yo. So much about me, I know know. It's easy to see ways I glow glow. But you know, there's so much more more. And I quote, "know thyself." Thanks, Shakespeare. I took the opportunity to share more about myself than what everyone sees on the outside. I let Sally know, in my spare time, I like to ride my pet seahorse, Velvet, around the coral reefs, and spend time with my friends across the Champa verse. Sally then shared with me that she has a pet catfish named Bob. He's super cute too. And she also enjoys reading and writing literature, just like I do. So not only did this give both of us confidence, but we were able to both see that we are way more than what is seen of us on the surface. That's when I realized I'm way more than an athlete. I'm also a reader, a writer, and a seahorse explorer. OK, my beautiful super noodle friends. It's time to stretch those fins, learn more about ourselves, and move on land.
