So many of us have seen first hand the profound impact movement can have for helping kids learn, focus and succeed. KQED’s Mind/Shift project recently published a great article entitled “How Movement and Exercise Help Kids Learn.” The article clearly and concisely explains what happens to kids’ (and adults’!) brains and bodies when they are physically active, and emphasizes the importance of integrating movement into both students and teachers’ daily routines.
And check out this article from the CBC about how one Canadian school put movement into action…in its hallways!
